Why Create A Site Like This?

The simple answer is that I love Architecture, especially early 20th century American buildings. Since this nations founding, American's have created some of the greatest cities in the world, filled with outstanding examples of superb design that often exceeded even the wildest dreams of her citizens.

The vast architectural canvas of America is a perfect testament to the incredible innovation, imagination and dedication of its Architects, Builders, Craftsman and Artists. From the small brick farm house in rural Pennsylvania to the early Skyscrapers of New York City they are substantial, enduring symbols of the dreams and irrepressible yearnings of the American people.

I hope you find this site interesting.

Note: Some of the buildings on this site NO LONGER exist, having been swept from history long ago to make way for a new country’s “progress". Corrections and information are always welcome.

If you have information or you would like to share your own recollections about a particular building please feel free to add your comments. You can also email me at: owings1064 (at) hotmail (dot) com
