The Gillender Building - NYC


Completed in 1897, the Gillender Building stood for just 13 years. It was demolished to make way for the Bankers Trust Building which still occupies this space along Nassuau and Wall street.
Designed by Acrchitects Charles Berg and Edward Clark, this exceptionally slender skyscraper was a fine example of Classical Revival and rose 22 stories on a site of only 26 x 73 feet.
